Open Space Hike At Taylor Preserve

WOODBURY  — Flanders Nature Center & Land Trust will host its next Open Space Exploration Hike on Saturday, October 15, at 1:30 pm. This month’s hike will be at the Taylor Preserve site, off Sage and Tuttle roads in Woodbury.

This series, held once monthly, is geared to teach the value of open space through a series of guided hikes and explorations of its sanctuaries and preserves. Norman Taylor will lead the October hike.

Hikers should meet on Sage Road between Route 64 and Tuttle Road, and should look for the “Open Space Parking” sign.

Tick-proof, seasonal clothing and appropriate hiking shoes, as well as insect repellent and rain gear, as needed, are recommended. Explorations are held rain or shine.

Suggested donations are $5 per person for adults; children ages 12 and under are free.

For more information about this final Open Space Hike for 2005, call Flanders at 203-263-3711.
