Mile Hill Road
Police report they stopped motorist Cynthia Kolb-Bicking, 24, of 137 Huntingtown Road, for traveling 55 miles per hour in a 30 mile-per-hour zone on Mile Hill Road about 11 am April 7.
Police said they charged Kolb-Bicking with traveling too fast and operating a motor vehicle while under suspension.
Police released Kolb-Bicking on a promise to appear April 19 in Danbury Superior Court.
DWIÂ Charge
Police said they stopped motorist Richard Tondreau, 50, of 57 Mile Hill Road South, on Pecks Lane about 1 am April 8 for not having a marker plate on the vehicle he was driving.
Police said they smelled alcohol on Tondreauâs breath and gave him field sobriety tests which he failed. Police charged him with driving while intoxicated and failure to display a marker plate.
After processing, police released Tondreau for an April 19 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
 Hit-And-Run
Motorist Nahid Chowdhury, 21, of 35 Mt Pleasant Road, who was driving a 1995 Mazda Protégé southbound on South Main Street about 11 am April 4, stopped to make left turn into a shopping center at 43 South Main Street and was struck from behind by a southbound vehicle, police said.
Chowdhury then turned into the shopping center, but the other motorist continued traveling southbound on South Main Street, police said. Chowdhury was not injured, police said.
Bus Vs. Saab
State police said motorist Virginia M. Yedowitz, 43, of Kingston, NY, was driving a 1986 Saab sedan eastbound on Interstate-84 near Exit 10 about 9 pm April 7 when a piece of metal fell off a nearby bus and struck the Saabâs front end, causing minor damage. Ms Yedowitz was not injured in the incident, state police said.
Riverside Road
Police said they stopped motorist Kevin Buchholz, 19, of 104 Waterview Drive, Sandy Hook, for failure to keep to the right on Riverside Road about 1:20 am April 11.
Police said they charged Buchholz with failure to drive to the right and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
 Police released Buchholz for an April 17 appearance in Danbury Superior Court.
Route 34 Accident
Police report motorist William C. Hughan, III, 53, of Oxford, who was driving a 1994 Ford Ranger pickup truck, was stopped in a line of traffic on Route 34 near Mile Hill Road about 8 am April 7 when he was struck from behind by motorist Kimberly P. Sullivan, 23, of 9 Tanglewood Lane, Sandy Hook, who was driving a 1989 Buick Skylark.
Police said Hughan experienced minor neck pain, but refused medical treatment.
Police said they issued Sullivan a written warning for traveling an unsafe distance apart, and issued her an infraction ticket on a charge on operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
Church Hill Road
 Motorist Laszlo Bajor, 86, of Southbury, who was driving a 1992 Buick LeSabre westbound on Church Hill Road, had stopped to make a left turn into the Blue Colony Diner about 1:40 pm April 4, when he was signaled to make the left turn by an eastbound motorist in the âstraight aheadâ lane, police said.
Bajor made the turn and collided with eastbound motorist Floyd R. Mitchell, Jr, 42, of Townâs End Road, who was driving a 1999 Hyundai sedan in the âright turn onlyâ lane, police said.
There were no injuries.
Police verbally warned Bajor for failure to grant the right of way.
 Swamp Road MVA
Motorist David A. Delaney, 34, of Stratford, who was driving a 1996 Honda Civic eastbound on Swamp Road about 2 pm April 11, took his eyes of the road to look down at an object on the floor of the auto and struck two mailboxes and a utility pole, police said.
Delaney was wearing a seatbelt, but struck his head on the windshield, police said. The Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps transported him to Danbury Hospital for treatment of hand and neck injuries, police said. The accident is under investigation.
Paintballs
Police report they learned April 7 that a Sandy Hook residence was the target of someone shooting paintballs sometime overnight April 6-7.
The person shot about 12 paintballs at the front and side of the house on Spruce Drive. Police are investigating the case of criminal mischief.         Â
