The EDC’s New Website

To the Editor:

This is note of appreciation to Marty LaMarche, a member of Town of Newtown’s Economic Development Commission, for the contribution of her time and expertise to the development of the commission’s new website.

Her conceptual approach and her attention to detail were key elements in the successful implementation of this portal to Newtown now available to anyone in the world. Marty was able to bring her qualities as an entrepreneur and her marketing, writing, and artistic talent and experience as the owner of m’thala, LLC, a Newtown-based professional graphics design firm. She formed part of a very able and devoted team which included Commissioners Wes Thompson and Catherine Adsitt along with Elizabeth Stocker, our director of economic development. And because of this team’s efforts, the commission is able to use its website for its current online survey of challenges and opportunities for businesses in Newtown.
