BRIDGEPORT â Fairfield Follies will present Follies 2007 â The Best of All Possible Worlds at The Klein Memorial Auditorium, 910 Fairfield Avenue, at 7:30 pm Friday, May 18, and Saturday, May 19, and at 2 pm on Sunday, May 20.
The Follies was first inaugurated by Fairfield Rotary Club in 2000, and features each year a mix of the classics of American musical theater along with highlights from big Broadway hits. Follies 2007 features tunes from eight Broadway shows.
The primary goal of the Follies concept is to build bridges between the diverse communities of the inner city and the surrounding suburbs. This yearâs cast is made up of 77 student performers from 17 high schools in the greater Bridgeport and New Haven areas, including Newtown High School freshmen Riley Cameron, Bianca Crudo, Katie Holroyd, and Kristin Stoller.
Cast members were selected from hundreds of students who auditioned in early February. Follies provides experience, confidence, and motivation to further develop performing proficiencies.
Ample free parking is available at The Klein Theater. Tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for students and can be purchased by calling 203-367-2002, 9 am to 5 pm, Mondays through Fridays, and 10 am to 2 pm on Saturdays. Tickets can also be procured at the box office of the Entertainment Group at 515 Washington Avenue in Bridgeport. Credit cards are accepted for advance orders as well as for tickets purchased at the door prior to each performance.
A special rate of $13 per ticket is available for groups of ten or more for the Sunday matinee.

Fairfield Follies Foundation depends on the generosity of corporate sponsors, charitable foundations, and individual donors to defray the yearly $50,000 cost of producing the Follies.
