The Medicare Prescription Plan’s Positive Results

To the Editor:

How nice it was to see Nancy Crevier’s March 3 write-up about the positive results associated with the Medicare Part D prescription drug plan. After weeks of negativity concerning the program, the dust is clearing and people are beginning to realize that Congresswoman Nancy Johnson and her colleagues in Washington were right on the money by helping senior citizens save some!

With a little time and effort, and some help from the wonderful folks at local senior centers and agencies, seniors can be signed up for a prescription drug plan that is just right for them, one that can both adequately cover their prescription drug needs and potentially save them thousands of dollars in drug costs each year. If you or someone you know is eligible for enrollment, don’t wait for mid-to-late April. Sign up and start reaping the rewards of this program immediately. What would you do with a few thousand bucks extra in your pocket each year?
