Speaker On State’s Economy

DANBURY — Jeff Blodgett, vice president of research for the Connecticut Economic Research Center, will discuss the state’s emergence in the New Economy and its business cluster initiatives with students in a political science class at Western Connecticut State University during the spring semester.

Mr Blodgett will speak to a section of World Governments, Economies and Cultures on Tuesday, March 27, from 5:25 to 6:25 pm in Room 102 of White Hall on the midtown campus. His talk was scheduled for early March, but it was postponed because of the snowstorm. It is open to the public.

Some national studies have ranked Connecticut among the top states in the country in preparing for high-technology industries.

The World Governments, Economies and Cultures course is required for students enrolled in the Ancell School of Business at Western.
