Observing Passover Seder

St Rose of Lima Church’s sixth grade religious education class recently enjoyed a Passover Seder presented by Adath Israel. Attendees included Rabbi Shaul Praver, Ritual Director Mark Rebb, Dr Steven Malary, Elliot Malary, Beth Israel, Alex Israel, and Chelsea Young.

“We are currently studying the Old Testament and observing a seder gives the students the opportunities to make connections between Christianity and Judaism,” noted sixth grade religious education coordinator Terri Berthier. “It’s also wonderful because the youth from Adath Israel are the same age as the students in our class.”

The Adath Israel Seder at St Rose has been an annual tradition for several years. “The Seder we have with St Rose is just one of many interfaith activities Adath Israel is part of throughout the year,” said Mr Rebb. Such activities, he continued, held rich value in their ability to unite a multifaith community.
