Family Fun For Halloween In CityCenter Danbury

DANBURY — CityCenter Danbury will host a series of ghoulishly fun Halloween activities for children on Saturday, October 20. Entertaining, quality events for families are always taking place throughout CityCenter Danbury and the festivities planned for this Halloween are no exception.

“Halloween is one of the most popular traditions children look forward to year after year,” notes Nancy Whitfield, the executive director of CityCenter Danbury Special Service District. “The ‘trick’ is for parents to find Halloween ‘treats’ for their kids that are fun and safe.”

Families can start their Halloween adventure with “Alice in Pumpkinland” at the Danbury Public Library (telephone 797-4527) where children are invited to wear their costumes, decorate a treat bag, and get a special treat. The kids can then walk just two blocks over to “Halloween on the Green” sponsored by CityCenter Danbury (792-1711), The Danbury Downtown Council, Danbury Jaycees, and Danbury Kiwanis Club held on the Danbury Green from 2 to 4 pm. There, children will be invited to participate in a spine-tingling costume parade, enjoy a magician, face painting, goodie bags, and pictures with their favorite ghost, ghoul, or goblin. Children’s performer John Fogarty will present his “Spooktacular Kids Music Show.” Prizes will be given for the most original, scariest, and funniest costumes.
