Honda Accident

Motorist Ashley Yost, 23, of Ansonia was driving a 1992 Honda Accord westward on Berkshire Road, near the Monroe town line, in daylight on October 27, when for an unknown reason, the vehicle struck some guardrailing, crossed the road, and then struck a tree, police report.

Yost reported general pain, police said. The Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps transported her to Danbury Hospital to be checked. Sandy Hook firefighters went to the accident. Police said the accident is under investigation.

Rear-Ender

Motorist John Lewis, 57, of Oxford, who was driving a 2000 Nissan Altima, stopped at a red traffic signal at the end of westbound Interstate 84’s Exit 10 off-ramp at about 6:18 am November 2, police report.

The Nissan then started to make a right turn on red onto westbound Church Hill Road, but then stopped due to traffic conditions, police said. Motorist Anita Canfield, 57, of Southbury, who was driving a 2001 Chevrolet station wagon, then struck the Nissan from behind, police said.

Ambulance volunteers examined Lewis at the scene for a minor injury, police said. Police issued Canfield an infraction ticket for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.

Warrant

On November 1, police arrested David Eisenbach, 38, of 55 Sugar Street on a warrant charging him with violation of a restraining order. Police said Eisenbach was scheduled to be arraigned on the charge on November 2 in Danbury Superior Court.
