Open-Air Drumming

Program Planned

LITCHFIELD — “Drumming at the Labyrinth,” an open-air program under the direction of master drummer John Marshall, will take place at Wisdom House Retreat and Conference Center on Saturday, June 24, from 9:30 am to noon.

Located in a pastoral setting at Wisdom House, the seven-circuit labyrinth is the perfect setting for experiencing the beauty of nature and the joy of music. Participants are asked to bring a cushion, blanket, or folding chair.

In the event of rain, the program will be held in the barn at Wisdom House.

Mr Marshall has performed on concert stages, on radio, television, and in film. His repertoire includes drumming traditions of the Middle East, North and South India, West Africa, Central Asia, and the Caribbean. He also performs with the classical/jazz/world ensemble Ufonia.

Fee for the program is $15 for adults and $10 for children under 12.
