Anne                 von Oy
Anne von Oy, 97, wife of the late Hermann von Oy, of Newtown and formerly of Fairfield, died December 2 in Danbury Hospital.
She was born in Germany on October 24, 1907, a daughter of the late Wilhelm and Magdelena (Teufel) Schweikert. Mrs von Oy was a resident of Fairfield for 60 years and was a member of St Thomas Church, Church Women United, and for more than 35 years a volunteer for the American Red Cross. She had been a resident of Newtown for two years.
Mrs von Oy is survived by two sons, Frank von Oy and his wife Gloria of Newtown and Herman von Oy of Harwinton; and six grandchildren, Jenna, Peter, Alyssa, Tyler, Jonathan, and Jeremy.
She was predeceased by a son, William, and a daughter, Mary Ann.
A memorial Mass was celebrated December 7 in St Rose of Lima Church, Newtown. Private burial will be in St Thomas Cemetery, Fairfield.
Arrangements were by the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
