Antiques Appraisal

Jack and Rosie DeStories of Fairfield Auction will be the featured speakers at the March 1 meeting of the Business and Professional Women’s Club of Newtown.

 The couple will offer tips on collecting antiques including researching, restoring and valuation.  They will also verbal appraisals with 100 percent of the proceeds going to fund the BPW scholarship fund.  The cost to have an item appraised will be $5 per item with a limit of three items per person.

BPW members, spouses, friends, guests, and nonmembers are invited to this event.

The meeting will be held at the Fireside Inn, 123 South Main Street. Registration begins at 6 pm; dinner at 6:30. Dinner will be a buffet. Reservations are required by Friday, February 27; call Laura Mayer, 426-8669. The cost for dinner will be $25.
