William F.      Reilly, Sr.
William F. Reilly, Sr, 76, husband of Genevieve (Duda) Reilly of Sunnyview Terrace, Sandy Hook, died January 27 in Danbury Hospital.
Mr Reilly was born in Norwalk May 3, 1927 a son of the late Edward and Agnes (McDonough) Reilly.
Bill was employed as a plumber by the State of Connecticut at Fairfield Hills Hospital for 42 years until his retirement.
He was a US Army veteran of World War II and was a member of American Legion Post 60 in Danbury, Catholic War Veterans Post 1042 in Danbury and VFW Post 10201 in Brookfield. Mr Reilly was president of Council #400 Connecticut State Employees Association in Danbury and a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians in Danbury.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, John Reilly and William Reilly, Jr, both of Sandy Hook.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, February 7, at 1 pm in St Rose of Lima Church. There are no calling hours. Contributions may be made to St Rose of Lima Church Memorial Fund, 46 Church Hill Road, Newtown CT 06470 or to the American Cancer Society, 372 Danbury Road, Wilton CT 06897.
Arrangements were made by the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
