SHELTON â The Hospital of Saint Raphael is sponsoring a free lecture on the latest advances in vascular and endovascular surgery in the treatment of artery disease, varicose veins, and aneurysms. Antoine Ferneini, MD, a vascular surgeon and director of Saint Raphaelâs Wound Care Center, will give the talk from 6 to 7 pm, Thursday, June 25, at the Scinto Auditorium, 3 Corporate Drive, Shelton.
Dr Ferneini will discuss the newest technology and techniques used to treat common vein disorders, with an emphasis on minimally invasive interventions and chronic wound healing.
Other topics will be cutting-edge laser treatment for varicose veins, the warning signs and symptoms of peripheral artery disease and the detection of aortic aneurysms, âsilent killersâ that can be treated with minimally invasive procedures. A question-and-answer session will follow the talk and light refreshments will be served.
