Maritza          Brownlee

Maritza Brownlee, of Clearwater, Fla., formerly of Newtown from 1980 to 1998, died November 14 at home under the care of The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast.

She was born in Puerto Rico and moved to Florida in 2002 from Harpswell, Maine.

A homemaker, she was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Dunedin, Fla. She loved to cook and entertain.

She is survived by a son, John W. Brownlee of Clearwater, Fla.; a daughter, Karen L. Brownlee of Bowdoin, Maine; her mother, Ana Jimenez of Bariquitas, Puerto Rico; a brother, Arturo Jimenez of Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Daisy Drop of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.

A funeral mass was held November 17 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Dunedin.

The Moss-Feaster Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2550 Highlands Boulevard North, Palm Harbor, Fla., was in charge of arrangements.
