Many Made Lobsterfest A Success
Many Made Lobsterfest A Success
To the Editor,
We would like to thank all of those involved with the 2000 Lobsterfest held at the Sandy Hook Fire House on June 9 and 10. Without everyoneâs help this yearâs event would not have been such a great success. First we would like to thank all of the members of the Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue Co. and all of their families for their hard work and support to the fire department. Also to our Ladies Auxiliary who are always willing to lend a hand to support the fire department. We would like to thank Associated Refuse in Sandy Hook for the use of their dumpster and Bridgeport Resco for allowing us to dump the garbage at their facility. Thanks also goes to J.P. Maguire Assoc. for their continued support to the Fire Company and their help each year at the Lobsterfest. We would also like to thank the band âTo the Maxâ who performed each night at the event and who made it such a success. We would also like to thank the American Legion for their help in running the money wheels.
A big thanks goes to Sandy Hook Deli and Pootatuck Spirits for supplying us with whatever we needed at any time. Also to Omaha Beef for allowing us to use their refrigerated truck for the weekend. We also would like to thank Southbury Fire Department for the use of their pots and support. And also to Pete Kokoski for his help throughout the weekend setting up all of our cooking areas. And as always we would like to thank our neighbors of the firehouse for putting up with our weekend of loud music and voices.
Again, this yearâs event would not have been possible and such a success without the help of all the above mentioned. We also thank everyone who attended the event and hope you enjoyed yourselves. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year!
