Snap Fitness Announces Winners

Of ‘Lose Weight Challenge’

The Newtown Snap Fitness club is full of losers this season — just ask the owner.

“Our club is packed full of losers, and we couldn’t be more thrilled,” said Brian Swedrock, Snap Fitness owner in Newtown. “We’ve seen a number of our members lose a lot of weight over these past eight weeks, and we’re proud to say we helped them get there.”

Mr Swedrock is referring to the “8-Week Lose Weight Challenge” that took place at Snap Fitness during the months of March and April. Members were able to participate in the free in-club contest and received recommended workout plans, regular, private weigh-ins, and weekly tips and live chats with Chad the Trainer.

In the end, Marianne Adams, Snap Fitness member from Newtown was the local grand prize winner, receiving three free months to the club for dropping a total of 22 pounds. Coming in second place and losing 24.8 pounds was Brian DeJesus of Newtown who won two free months, and the third place winner, Dawn Barrett of Sandy Hook, lost 13.4 pounds and won a free month of membership at Snap Fitness.

Mr Swedrock said that the Challenge was a great success for the club and the members.

“The winter months are one of the toughest times of the year when it comes to reaching your fitness goals,” said Mr Swedrock. “The Challenge has helped make losing weight fun and rewarding, helping our members get the results they want.”
