Reed To Stage ‘Beauty &

The Beast’ This Weekend

The cast and crew of Reed Intermediate School’s upcoming musical production of Disney’s Beauty & the Beast have been working hard after school to prepare for the show.

The stage in the school’s cafetorium has been transformed for the production, with scenes of trees on blue backgrounds, houses, and a stone wall painted to create a provincial French town. The story follows Belle, a young girl who does not quite fit in her surroundings. When Belle’s father goes missing, she searches for him and ends up at an enchanted castle filled with animated household items and a beast for a master. 

The Friday, May 18, presentation is scheduled for 7 pm, and the Saturday, May 19, presentation is scheduled for 6 pm. General admission tickets will be available at the door for $7.

The cast for the show includes Brooks Petershack as the Prince/Beast, Teresa Forlenzo as Belle, Jack Premus as Gaston, Nicholas Stowell as Lefou, Kyle Burbank as Maurice, Phoebe Doscher as Cogsworth, Talia Hankin as Lumiere, Elle Sauli as Babette, Tess Mubarek as Mrs Potts, Ethan Cox as Chip, and Kelly Garcia as Madame de la Grande Bouche.
