ST CHARLES, MO. — Hundreds of Depression and antique glass collectors and enthusiasts are expected to attend the 34th National Depression Glass Association (NDGA) Convention, Glass Show and Sale on July 19 and 20 at the St Charles Convention Center. Some will come searching for specific patterns, others will attend to learn more about family heirlooms and many attendees will be drawn by the spectrum of rare and unusual varieties of glass for viewing and for sale.

This year’s show will host 32 dealers from across the United States and features a silent auction to raise funds for the National Glass Collection. Various pieces of the National Glass Collection will be displayed at the convention, along with 20 displays of Depression era glass.

There will also be three seminars: one to be held by Danny Cornelius and Don Jones, authors of American Pattern Glass Table Setting, the second seminar will be by John Walk author of Fenton Rarities 1940–1985, and the third seminar by Jim and Nancy Finney will be on “Cambridge Turtles.”

The Convention Center is at One Convention Plaza. General admission for the show is $8. For early bird admission, 8 to 10 am, order tickets from website of the NDGA, www.ndga.net, in advance for $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers; or purchase at the door for $15 for members and $25 for nonmembers.
