Summer Reading: The Childrenâs Room is gearing up for summer reading 2000: âBlast Off With a Good Book.â The kickoff program on June 27 at 10:30 am will feature Newtown author Bruce Degan, a special appearance by Ms Frizzle, and music by Erik Bagger. Children can sign up any time from June 27 through August 12.
Middle School Madness: Students entering grades 6-9 can participate in our young adult summer reading program, Middle School Madness. No registration is necessary. Simply read books between June 27 and August 12 and submit an entry form for every 50 pages that you read. A list of donated prizes is available in the childrenâs department. The more you read the better your chances of winning. The drawing will take place after August 12.
