Donald K.       Deppen
Donald K. Deppen died October 14 at his home in Newtown at the age of 73. He was the husband of Maureen A. (Hogan) Deppen.
Born in New York City on October 12, 1928, son of the late Donald H. and Margery Kellogg Deppen, he lived in Newtown for 18 years, coming from Darien. He was a Marine veteran, serving from 1948 to 1952. Retiring 18 years ago, he was a locksmith for the Connecticut Lock and Key in Stamford and prior to that was superintendent for the Fairlawn Condos in Stamford.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons, Thomas R. of Wilton and Robert M. of Arizona; two daughters, Mary E. Dingee of New Canaan and Priscilla Mey of Danbury; his brother, Richard F. Deppen of Ft Pierce, Fla.; and grandchildren, Nina, Joel and Bray Deppen, Charles, Douglas and Kevin Dingee, Michael and Stephanie Mey, and Andrew and Mark Deppen.
A memorial service will be held at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury, on Sunday, October 21, at 4 pm with the Rev Mary Patterson officiating.
Cremation will take place at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Cornell Memorial Home one hour prior to the service.
