Chamber Hosting Panel On IT

The Newtown Chamber of Commerce will host a panel discussion entitled “How IT Can Help Your Business” on Thursday, May 25, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm, in the meeting room of Cyrenius Booth Library.

The discussion will be led by three Chamber members who work in the IT industry. The agenda for the evening is as follows:

Networking and refreshments will precede the talk that will feature John Sarra, of CM IT Solutions, providing an overview of things to consider when selecting technology for your business. He will address hardware and software options, peripherals, and ways to use technology to help generate revenue.

Dan Tannenbaum of Newtown Computer Services will discuss security, virus and spyware threats, and ways to prevent them as well as backup options. David Braga of David M. Braga Technology Services will follow, discussing topics of concern for larger businesses like networks, disaster recovery, off-site storage and virtual private networks (VPNs).

A Q&A opportunity will followed by additional networking opportunities. This event is free to chamber members.
