To the Editor:
Newtown voters will be making important decisions on November 2, not the least of which is the choice of our next judge of probate. Unfortunately, we have lost our own Newtown court, but we can keep our own Newtown judge of probate. It is clear that attorney Tim Holian is the best choice for the position, the only one pledged to be a full-time judge.
I knew Timâs parents, John and Mary Holian, both of whom made wonderful contributions to our town. Tim has followed his parents; example of dedication to serving the public as a former ten-year member and vice chairman of the Legislative Council, former member of the Conservation Commission, current Newtown Ambulance Association board member, as well as numerous other community activities.
Tim is a longtime practitioner of law in Newtown. He is professional in his demeanor, knowledgeable, compassionate, and understanding. He has been involved in all aspects of probate law for over 26 years. He will make an excellent judge of probate for Newtown and the other towns in the new, larger probate district of Newtown, Bethel, Ridgefield, and Redding.
Probate judge is not a political office, but it is a personal one, thus, I urge all Newtown voters, Democrats, Republicans, Independents, and Unaffiliated, to join with me and vote for Tim Holian. Letâs keep our own judge of probate.
Sincerely,
Jack H. Rosenthal
