Lionel J. Aminti

Lionel J. Aminti, 49, of Pepperell, Mass., died July 21 at UMass Memorial Healthcare, Worcester, Mass. Mr Aminti was the husband of Robin C. Anthony, a former resident of Newtown.

Mr Aminti was born in Norwalk, October 7, 1955, a son of Ima (Kelly) Aminti of Washington, Conn., and the late Ralph Aminti. He was a graduate of Brien McMahon High School in Norwalk. A resident of Pepperell since 2000, Lionel was a mechanical technician for the Anheuser-Busch Company. He was a skilled carpenter. Lionel’s wife and children were the most important things in his life.

In addition to his wife and mother, Lionel is survived by his two children, Colby and Shelby Aminti of Pepperell; his mother-in-law, Janice Anthony of Newtown; two brothers, Gary Aminti and Robert Aminti, both of Washington; two sisters, Erma of Washington and George Anne Melcher of Louisiana; a brother-in-law, Richard Anthony of Danielson, Conn.; three sisters-in-law, Jennifer Anthony-Bogue of Washington, Susan Anthony-Klein of Brookfield and Elizabeth Decater of Southbury; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held July 26 in the Salem Covenant Church, Washington. Interment will be in Newtown Village Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
