Elizabeth P. Colangelo, 83, wife of the late Joseph D. Colangelo, formerly of New Rochelle and Port Chester, N.Y., died May 22 in the New York State Veterans Home, Oxford, N.Y.

Mrs Colangelo is survived by her daughter, Dorrie Carolan and her husband, Kevin, of Newtown; three grandchildren, Christopher Carolan of Winthrop, Mass., Kevin Carolan of Manhattan, N.Y. and Erin Carolan of Newtown; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Brian Tani.

Mrs Colangelo was born in Salem, Mass., on January 31, 1923, a daughter of Karol and Katherine (Carr) Mijal. During World War II, she served in the US Navy Waves. She was an avid archer and held memberships in many New York State archery associations.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 am, Wednesday, May 31, in St Rose of Lima Church, Newtown. Friends may call at the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, on Tuesday, May 30, from 6 to 9 pm.
