Drainage Issues Raised Over Dodgingtown Resubdivision
In view of concerns raised by nearby property owners, the Planning and Zoning Commission (P&Z) is seeking technical information about a two-lot resubdivision proposed for land on Pepperidge Road.
David French and Sons Builders, LLC, is the applicant for a two-lot resubdivision of the three-acre Lot 21 on Pepperidge Road. Pepperidge Road is a residential side street off Scudder Road in Dodgingtown.
At an hour-long February 19 public hearing on the resubdivision proposal, several nearby property owners raised concerns about the implications of cutting the three-acre parcel into two residential building lots.
Among those concerns, several property owners said that drainage problems in the area result in water flowing across the site, causing water flow onto Pepperidge Road and consequent road icing problems during cold wintertime conditions.
After hearing the property ownersâ concerns, P&Z members said they would seek advice from town staff members on dealing with the drainage problems. P&Z members plan to resume the public hearing on the resubdivision application on March 18 after receiving that advice.
