FAIRFIELD â John Herzog, a founder of The Museum of Financial History in New York City, will present an illustrated lecture entitled âAmerican Dreamsâ at Fairfield Historical Society on Sunday, November 14, at 2 pm.
Mr Herzogâs talk, which will focus on some outstanding financial events in history, is drawn from themes explored in the societyâs current exhibit, âFor What Itâs Worth! Money, Barter & Banks in Early Fairfield.â Visitors are invited to tour the exhibit following the presentation.
Mr Herzog is currently chairman of R.M. Smythe & Company, one of the nationâs leading numismatic auction firms. The firm specializes in historic collectible stock and bond certificates as well as a wide range of financial antiques, coins, banknotes, autographs of all kinds, and vintage photographs.
