Stephen Midlik, Sr
Stephen Midlik, Sr, 83, of Fairfield, died December 15 in his home. Born in Olyphant, Penn., to the late Joseph and Julia (Rabatin) Midlik, he was a resident of Fairfield for more than 50 years.
Mr Midlik was a retired self-employed inventor and a master machine builder, and he was a World War II veteran of the US Army Air Corps.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 62 years, Anna Makara Midlik; his son Stephen Midlik, Jr, and his wife Pamela of Newtown; his son-in-law Peter R. Clem, Jr; four grandchildren, Peter Clem III, David B. Clem, Kathryn E. Midlik, and Christina M. Midlik; five brothers and sisters, Helen Hromco and her husband Anthony of Parma, Ohio, Mary Bledsoe and her husband Jack of Westlake, Ohio, Margaret Benninger and her husband Robert of Parma, Ohio, William Midlik and his wife Mollie of Birmingham, Ala, and Daniel Midlik and his wife Joan of Cherry Grove, Penn.; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his daughter, Barbara Clem; a grandson Stephen W. Midlik; brothers and sisters, Michael, Joseph, George, Robert, John, Daniel and Paul Midlik, Sophia Farkasofsky and Anna Kollar.
Funeral services were private and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford.
