SOUTHBURY â On Saturday, November 10, from 9 am to 3 pm, the Ladies Auxiliary of Southbury Volunteer Firemenâs Association is sponsoring its 24th annual Christmas Bazaar at the Center Firehouse on Main Street South.
More than 40 individuals will be displaying quality crafts including wooden toys, woodcrafts, bears, dolls, dried floral and silk arrangements, jewelry, neckties, quilts, wall hangings, tree skirts, knit and crochet clothing, sweatshirts ceramics, candles, and other specialties too numerous to mention.
The auxiliary will have a bake table stocked with home baked apple and pumpkin pies, and other delicious goodies. Additionally, lunch will be available from 10 am until 2 pm, including hamburgers, hotdogs, chili, hot and cold drinks, and slices of home baked pie.
Santa has promised to stop by between 10 am to noon and 12:30 to 2 pm, and an Auxiliary elf will take photos of children with Santa for $3 each.
Center Firehouse is located midway between exits 14 and 15 off Interstate 84. Admission and parking are free. The auxiliary, in its continued support of the fire department, uses proceeds from the bazaar to purchases items not in the fire companyâs budget.
