New Teacher - Mrs Daigle
New Teacher â Mrs Daigle
By Erica Federman and Amanda Norling
Ever since Mrs Daigle was in the fifth grade, she knew she wanted to be a teacher. Her favorite teacher was Mrs Lamb because she was an inspiration to her and her husband was a famous author. Mrs Daigle is determined to get everyone to reach their potential before they leave her classroom. âWe all have gifts and we need to use them,â Mrs Daigle said.
What is her favorite subject to teach? âMy favorite subject to teach would have to be reading because I have such a love for books!â Mrs Daigle said.
Robbie Norling describes Mrs Daigle in one word â âTerrific!â
Even though this is her first year at Middle Gate, it is her eighth year of teaching! Her first class was at Port St Lucie, Florida. She was asked how she makes learning fun. âI try to make learning fun by doing a variety of things. I like to have fun while I teach, so I vary what I do. We use clock partners often so the children work with different classmates. We do a lot of oral presentations, songs, and projects. I hope it is fun for my students,â Mrs Daigle said.
Mrs Daigle gave some good advice for new teachers. âI would tell new teachers to take is slow so they donât become too overwhelmed. They should enjoy their time with their kids and always remember that the second year of teaching will be a piece of cake,â she said.
