Ithaca College has announced local students who have been named to the fall 2000 semester honor roll recently. Jonathan Coates of Newtown, who is studying TV-Radio, and Kathleen Doyle of Sandy Hook, who is studying clinical science and physical therapy, were named to the college’s honor roll.

Daniel O’Connor, a graduate of Newtown High School, received The Douglas F. Weiler Scholarship at The College of Wooster’s 31st annual Recognition Banquet recently. Mr O’Connor is a junior English major and is the son of Michael O’Connor and Janice Phelan of Newtown.
