CT Alliance For Music Will Launch New Season October 21

Connecticut Alliance for Music (CAM) will launch its 2000-02 season on Sunday, October 21, at 3 pm, with a performance by Andrew Day, a remarkable young flutist from Australia. Currently in his final year at Julliard School of Music in Manhattan, Mr Day garnered top prize in last year’s Heida Hermanns International Young Artists Competition. His program will feature music by Bach, Mozart, Poulenc, and Chaminade.

The October 21 concert is the first of four concerts to be presented during the season in the informal settings of private homes throughout Fairfield County. Admission to the four house concerts series are available by subscription at $60 for the full season, or through individual ticket purchases of $22 per concert.

To request a membership brochure and order form, contact the CAM office at 203-319-8271 or through email at camusic@yahoo.com. Organization information can be viewed at www.camusic.org.

Upcoming house concerts in the series will be Sunday, November 18, with pianist Gayle Martin Henry; Sunday, March 24, Elm City Ensemble; and Sunday, May 24 with soprano Jennifer Foster and baritone Gregory Rahming. Each house concert begins at 3 and is followed by a gala reception to honor the performers.
