Fall Programs At Craft Center

BROOKFIELD — Artists, craftspeople and anyone interested in the skills and values of fine craftsmanship will want to review the new fall issue of Brookfield Quarterly, the program guide of the non-profit Brookfield Craft Center. The 32-page booklet lists the center’s extensive classes and workshops as well as the gallery shows and event being hosted through December.

The center is at 286 Whisconier Road (Route 25), just above the intersection with Route 7. BCC offers six- and eight-week weekday or evening basics plus over 80 one-, two-, and three-day weekend workshops taught by national profile visiting craft artists.

There is a different line-up of workshops each weekend in such topics as blacksmithing, glassblowing, silversmithing, woodworking, ceramics, nature photography and dozens of other subjects, many unique to Brookfield Craft Center. Classes have limited enrollments, some with only six participants, to provide highly individualized attention and instruction. The Center offers a 15 percent early registration discount.

The fall 2000 Brookfield Quarterly is available free of charge by calling 775-4526 or by visiting BCC’s Web site at http://www.brookfieldcraftcenter.org.
