Worms

On Monday, May 1, the fifth graders at Middle Gate School went to the science lab to “explore with earthworms” with Mrs Fagan, the science specialist. The students tested to see if the worms liked the light or darkness, dampness or dryness, soil or sand.

The next week we dissected them with help from Mrs Fagan. The students were looking for special parts, like the five hearts.

Student Jordan Frey said it was interesting.

Chris Reid thought it was cool and interesting.

Katie-Rose McNulty said it was more different than she thought it would be. “I learned that the worm has many different parts,” she said.
