Book Discussions For Mystery Lovers
Book Discussions For Mystery Lovers
Mystery lovers are invited to participate in a group discussion of A Bitter Feast by S.J. Rozan at the Cyrenius H. Booth Library on Tuesday, October 16, at 7:30 pm.
With the theme of âPartners in Crime,â this discussion will look at the cross-cultural detective partnership of Lydia Chin and Bill Smith, who work together to solve a baffling murder mystery in New Yorkâs Chinatown district. Author S.J. Rozanâs well-crafted mystery novels have won both the Shamus Award and the Anthony Award.
This is the second meeting in the libraryâs popular mystery series, sponsored by the Friends of the Library and facilitated by Liz Arneth, Mary Maki, and Marian Wood. On Tuesday, October 30, the group discussion will center on Evil Angels Among Them by Kate Charles, a British murder mystery.
Acclaimed mystery authors Marcia Talley and Kate Charles will close out the fall series with a presentation at the C.H. Booth Library on Monday, November 5, at 7:30 pm. The two authors will discuss their latest novels and present a behind-the-scenes look at how mystery writers develop characters and plan plots. Ms Talley recently released Occasion of Revenge, the third book in her series featuring Hannah Ives. She also served as editor and wrote a chapter for a collaborative mystery titled Naked Came the Phoenix, with chapters written by Nevada Barr, J.A. Jance, Fay Kellerman, Laurie R. King, and other well-known mystery novelists.
Copies of A Bitter Feast and Evil Angels Among them are available at the libraryâs main circulation desk. For more information, please call the library at 426-4533.
