Holocaust Survivors & Second Generation Meeting Planned
Holocaust Survivors & Second Generation Meeting Planned
SOUTHBURY â Holocaust survivors and children and grandchildren of survivors are invited to a meeting on Sunday, October 29, at 10 am, in the library at the Walzer Family Jewish Community Campus, 444 Main Street North.
Susan Bryant, a child survivor, psychologist, and member of the group, will help direct the theme of this gathering, âOur New Life in the United States.â Dr Bryant suggests that, rather than talking about the pain of the past, at this meeting survivors talk about âWhat was, and is, important to you since you came to this country? Think about your family, a job you enjoyed, any professional successes, volunteer work, etc â what are some of the good, special or important things that have happened since you arrived in the US?â
There will be bagels and coffee and a chance to meet and greet old friends and new and catch up on news.
Reservations are requested. Call Debby Horowitz, Brownstein Jewish Family service director, at 267-3177, extension 105.
