Saturday Morning Bird Walks

DERBY — For people who enjoy watching birds, Kellogg Environmental Center will offer relaxing Saturday morning walks in search of local birds. Participants can experience the joy of observing birds in the wild, sharpen bird identification skills, or just enjoy a Saturday morning hike through the grounds of Kellogg Environmental Center and Osbornedale State Park.

The walks are scheduled to begin at 8:30 am on September 27 and October 11, and at 9 am on November 15 and December 6.

Walks may last up to two hours, depending on conditions. Participants should plan to meet in the parking lot of the environmental center at 500 Hawthorne Avenue (off Route 34). All levels of birders are encouraged to participate.
