Creative Wellspring Workshop
Creative Wellspring Workshop
Rose Bergen, who has been studying and teaching yoga for over 25 years, will lead the Creative Wellspring workshop, facilitated by Ginger Humeston, on January 25 at 9:30 am in the meeting room of the C.H. Booth Library.
The idea for the series evolved from a program Ms Humeston presented for the Bridgeport Diocese. She believes that as life continues to become more hectic, the same question is asked that has been asked in the past: How do we keep centered? Women of all ages share this common thread.
The program will show participants how to use the breath in order to find the vital rest needed to help clarify, awaken, enlighten, expand, and sustain their lives. This will be an experiential journey, so no one should be intimidated. There are no restrictions, and everyone can do it, according to Ms Bergen.
Ms Bergen suggests that participants wear casual and comfortable clothes.
She quotes Thomas Merton, a Trappist monk, who wrote, âThe bravest thing a person can do is rest.â
Women looking for a sense of peace to stay healthy in this stress-filled, modern world are invited to join the group for a creative pilgrimage into the world of inner space where they will find inner strength, and the time to accomplish all the things they need to do.
Participants are asked to bring a journal to keep a record of their experience.
To participate, register in person at the library or by calling 426-4533.
