Theft From Vehicle
Sometime between 10 am and 4 pm on September 19, someone stole a stereo, a subwoofer speaker, and an amplifier that were left inside an unlocked vehicle that was parked in the parking lot at Curtis Packaging at 44 Berkshire Road, police said. The stolen items are worth more than $500.
Police are investigating the theft and ask anyone with information on the incident to contact them at 426-5841.
Church Hill Crash
About 9 pm September 15, motorist Shawn Baumann, 37, of Prospect, who was driving a 2005 Toyota Highlander westward on Church Hill Road, slowed to make a right turn into a driveway at 47 Church Hill Road, police said.
At that time, westbound motorist Russell Hardy, 31, of 84 Lakeview Drive, who was driving a 1996 Honda Civic sedan, began to pass the Toyota on the right, but collided with it, police said.
There were no injuries. Police issued Hardy a written warning for passing on the right.
Mercedes Vs Honda
Police report a two-vehicle collision on Church Hill Road about 5:30 pm September 15.
Motorist William Baldwin, 43, of Blairstown, N.J., who was driving a 2002 Mercedes-Benz E320 westward on Church Hill Road, attempted to make a left turn into the driveway at 56 Church Hill Road, but collided with an eastbound 2005 Honda Civic sedan driven by James Floyd, 53, of Watertown, police said. Ambulance volunteers checked Floyd, police said.
Police issued Baldwin a written warning for making a restricted turnÂ
