Newtown Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded to 30 calls during the period August 19-25.

There were 16 medical calls, eight trauma calls, and six standby/other calls.

The medical calls included one respiratory, eight cardiac, one seizure, one diabetic, and five miscellaneous.

There were six vehicular trauma calls, and two non-vehicular.

Twenty-two persons were transported to the hospital; eight were not transported.

They included three ages infant to eight; two ages 9-21, 16 ages 22-60, and nine over age 60.

There were 15 males and 15 females.

Five of the calls were between midnight and 6 am; 14 were between 8 am and 4 pm, and 11 were between 4 pm and midnight.
