DEAN LARSON, CLARK MITCHELL AT JOHN PENCE GALLERY w/1 cut

avv/gs set 2-27 #690192

SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF. — John Pence Gallery presents two solo exhibitions, in separate galleries, concurrently, by Dean Larson and Clark Mitchell. Both exhibitions are on view through April 7.

Larson (b 1957) is a resident of San Francisco with roots on the East Coast. He is an adventurous artist, rendering interiors, landscapes, still life and florals, as well as portrait commissions. Larson’s exhibition will feature many commanding views of the Bay Area and canvases from recent forays to Italy, together with still lifes and figures.

Pastel artist Mitchell (b 1951) is a resident of Sonoma County, who specializes in landscapes. This soft medium lends itself to the atmospheric scene that is the California wine country. Mitchell has honed in and chosen an array of subjects that depict how picturesque the Bay Area is.

The gallery is at 750 Post Street. For more information, www.johnpence.com or 415-441-1138.
