SANTA FE, N.M. — Altermann Galleries’ 27th annual summer auction will take place Saturday, June 16, at the Santa Fe Hilton. Approximately 175 works of art will be offered.

New Mexico artists will be well represented, with works by William Herbert Dunton, Clark Hulings, William Acheff, Nicolai Fechin, Glenna Goodacre, Peter Hurd, John Moyers, Terri Kelly Moyers, Laurence Philip Sisson and Kim Wiggins.

Other deceased masters in the auction include A.D.M. Cooper, Thomas Hill, William Holmes, Karl Kauba, Sydney Laurence, Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait, Diego Rivera, Edgar Payne, Frederic Remington, Gunnar Widforss and Olaf Wieghorst.

Past and present members of the Cowboy Artists of American, the National Academy of Western Art and the Prix de West Invitation artists in the sale include Roy Andersen, Wayne Baize, Harley Brown, Joe Beeler, James Boren, Ken Bunnl, Ken Carlson, Donald Crowley, David Halbach, Frank McCarthy, Ramon Kelley, Gary Niblett, James Reynolds, Ray Swanson, Donald Teague, Curt Walters and Melvin Warren.

An added dimension to the event is a strong contingent of non-Western subject matter artists, including Christopher Blossom, Chen Chi, Edouard Cortes, Alfred De Breanski Jr, Eugene Galien-LaLoue, Auguste Rodin and Guy Wiggins. As in other recent auctions held by Altermann Galleries, there will be offerings from Andy Warhol’s “Cowboys and Indians” series.
