In The Cause Of Fire Prevention
In The Cause Of Fire Prevention
To the Editor:
The members of the Sandy Hook Volunteer Fire & Rescue Co., Inc, would like to thank all those who attended our Fire Prevention week kick-off open house on Sunday, October 7. It was a great success and we hope that all who attended learned something about home safety.
We would like to recognize the businesses that donated materials and supplies to help us make this event a success. They are: The Duracell Corp, and First Alert BRK Corp for the smoke detectors for our raffles. To Castle Hill Farm, the Paproski Family, and Mitchell Farms for the fall decorations. Also, thanks to the Department of Environmental Protection of Middlebury, the Connecticut Fire Academy, The Shriners, as well as Allstate Insurance for the great informational handouts. Thanks to the Black Swan Stove Shop and the Home Depot of Danbury for their donations of items for our demonstrations. And last but not least to Captains Cove of Bridgeport and The Big Y in Newtown for food and supplies.
Thank you all again for attending and we hope to see everyone in 2003 for our next open house!
