The Connecticut chapter of the Alzheimerâs Association is offering a series of four seminars for Alzheimerâs caregivers on Tuesday evenings in November. Each program will run from 6 to 8 pm.
They are available at no charge to all family members, friends and caregivers. The programs will be presented by nurses , social workers, elder law attorneys, doctors and therapeutic recreation directors.
The topics to be covered are âAn Overview of Alzheimerâs Disease and Related Dementiasâ on November 7, âApproaches to Dementia Careâ on November 14, âFamily Dynamics, Stress Reduction for Caregivers and Community Resourcesâ on November 21, and âElder Law Issuesâ on November 28.
The seminars will be held at The Homesteads at Newtown, 166 Mt Pleasant Road (Route 6). Registration is required. To register for any or all of the classes, call the Alzheimerâs Association at 866-363-6679 extension 15.
