Rosalia Miraglia, 99, of Danbury, died January 17, at Danbury Health Care Center. She was born March 2, 1912, in New York City, a daughter of Vito and Filipa Manale Terranova. She was the wife of the late S. Charles Miraglia.
Survivors include her son Sebastian Miraglia, and his wife Andrea, of Newtown, four grandsons,16 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. She will also be sadly missed by her cat, Kelly, and she now joins her dog, Prince.
A resident of Danbury for more than 70 years, Mrs Miraglia was a longtime active member of Sacred Heart Church in Danbury and a volunteer at Danbury Hospital for more than 20 years. Mrs Miraglia loved to laugh and enjoyed family celebrations. She was a lover of animals and enjoyed her neighbors in her Town Hill Avenue neighborhood.
A Mass of Christian Burial was scheduled for Friday, January 20, at 10:30 am, at Sacred Heart Church, Danbury. Burial will follow in St Peter Cemetery, Danbury. Calling hours were scheduled for Thursday, January 19, from 5 to 8 pm, at the Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury.
