Wisdom Inspired Those Who Loved Her
Elizabeth Heinrich, 92, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, died November 16, at River Glen Health Care Center, Southbury. She was born in Zakany, Hungary on November 21, 1915, a daughter of Jozsef and Rozalia (Laskai) Heinrich.
Survivors include her daughters, Edina Nakano and her husband, Dr Yoshizo Nakano, and Gabrielle Gleason and her husband, Steven, all of Sandy Hook.
Mrs Heinrich came to the United States in 1958 and lived and worked in New York City until 1995 when she moved to Waterbury to be closer to her family. She was an independent, loving mother with a strong spirit. Her family will miss her wisdom, an inspiration to all.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled in St Rose of Lima Church, Newtown, Friday, November 21, at 11 am. Interment will follow in Newtown Village Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
Funeral arrangements are in care of the Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown.
