Parent Connection To Sponsor Internet Safety Program

Newtown Parent Connection, along with the Newtown School District and Microsoft, will be sponsoring a program titled “It’s the Internet: Do you know where your children are?” Don’t let your lack of computer savvy or inexperience on the Internet prevent you from protecting your children. The program will be held on Tuesday, March 14, at 7 pm, at Reed Intermediate School.

Parry Aftab, a worldwide leader in the area of online safety and parent and child Internet education, is the featured speaker for the evening presentation, which promises to enlighten parents in the ways the Internet may be used and misused by young people. Ms Parry is an attorney specializing in cyber law and a child advocate.
