Retired Paraprofessional With Monroe School System

Vito R Cagganello, 67, of Monroe, beloved husband of Grace Marie DeFabio Cagganello, died on March 16 at his residence. Mr Cagganello was born on December 13, 1937, in Bridgeport, the son of Raymond and Mary Markoya Cagganello.

Survivors in addition to his loving wife of 46 years include his five beloved children and their spouses: Raymond Cagganello and his wife, Kelley, of Newtown and Albert Cagganello and his wife, Mayra, of Ansonia; three daughters, Patricia Brooks and her husband, Steven, of Monroe, Mary Anne Corey and her husband, Joseph, of Trumbull, and Victoria Swindon and her husband, Dennis, of Southington; one brother, Thomas Cagganello of Stratford; and 14 cherished grandchildren.

Mr Cagganello was a retired educational paraprofessional at Masuk High School and the Monroe Public School System for many years.

Funeral services were held on March 18 from Spadaccino Community Funeral Home, Monroe, and in St Stephen’s Church of Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment followed at St John’s Cemetery of Monroe.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and the Swim Across the Sound staff for their passionate care of Mr Cagganello for the past two years.
