Mary V. Spicer

Mary V. Spicer, 96, died August 20. She was born on February 2, 1916, in Newtown, to Elizabeth and Stephen Rockwell.

After relocating to Florida from Connecticut, she became an accomplished artist. Her greatest pleasure was spending time with her family.

Daughters Susan Mezzoni, Blanche Higginbotham, Roberta Higginbotham; siblings Vivian Williams, James Rockwell, and Vera Coghill; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews survive Mrs Spicer. She was predeceased by her husbands Donald Higginbotham and George W Spicer; nine other siblings; and a grandson, Gregory.

Per her wishes, donations can be made to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Vitas Hospice of Orange-Seminole Counties Florida at floridahospices.org.

A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Baldauff Funeral Home, Orange City, Fla.
