Newtown Tax Collector Carol Mahoney this week said the collector’s office has taken over the responsibility of sending out sewer bills. Quarterly sewer usage bills are being issued on Friday, January 19, to residents and businesses that are hooked up to the town’s sewer system.

Previously the bills were issued by US Filter/WPCA.

The tax collector’s office also will send the annual sewer assessment bills in August.

Checks to pay these bills should be made out to Tax Collector. They should be mailed to Tax Collector, PO Box 386, Newtown, CT 06470. Bills also may be paid at the tax collector’s office in Edmond Town Hall or at Newtown Savings Bank.
